Maurtius, Mauricia Resort & Spa – August 2017

Just some feedback from our Mauritius trip.

We had a very good time and really enjoyed our stay.

ROOMS:

We were initially put in room 444. The room was clean and had a view of the swimming area and also some palm trees. It was one of the older rooms in the resort, but nothing wrong with the room. We then got upgraded to room 205, with a seaview. This room was more modern and a bit quieter than 444. The mini-fridge was stocked up every day with beer, cooldrink, peanuts and chocolate.

FOOD:

The food in general was very good and there were lots to choose from. They have the buffet restaurant, Le Nautic (a la carte) and the bar. Unfortunately Le Nautic was always closed for lunch. Suppers at Le Nautic were good, but the menu didnt change, so we preferred to have supper at the buffet section. They have different themes every night and we really enjoyed this. There were too many food options to mention in the email, but safe to say – THERE WERE LOTS to keep you busy. All inclusive wines also only meant 2 wines, but this was good enough as there were plenty of other drinks to choose from. Cocktails are extremely sweet and the taste differs depending on who pours.

SERVICE:

The service all round was great. The people were friendly and professional and really went the extra mile to serve us. The big positive I think is the service and the fact that its close to Grand Baie, for those that want to visit and experience a bit of the “city” and culture. Food stalls were also nice to try.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mauricia, but would probably try another resort next time, just because there are so many to choose from.
