Dear Desire, Thank you for your email and for all your assistance in booking the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shandrani Beachcomber. The food was invariably of a high standard and we made the most of the watersports with daily snorkelling and kayaking excursions. The room facilities were also excellent, and although Wi-Fi coverage was spotty throughout the resort it was very good in our rooms. We would certainly recommend both the resort and your services to any friends or family planning a trip to Mauritius.

Thanks so much, we had a wonderful trip and I must say that I cant recommend Le Vic 2 more highly.

It is managed separately from the main hotel and feels like a small Boutique hotel; It has its own restaurant where we had our breakfast every morning and then we still had the choice of using the other restaurants on the premises

Every room is tastefully done and has unimpeded views of the sea and the sunsets, too wonderful for words. The  staff were so friendly and attentive and even although we were not one of the many honeymoon couples we felt  just as special! (By the way, we have been married for 43 years so definitely not on honeymoon!)

Thanks so much for your excellent service, we will definitely be in contact for our next travel experience.

We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in Mauritius and did not want to leave. Cannonier Hotel is stunning and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Although we never received the bride and groom Tshirt and sarong we only arrived at 10 pm the night so its ok.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful if we had requested. Very glad you suggested Cannonier it’s really beautiful.

The pool is also stunning and the view from our room was like something out of a movie. Their spa is amazing definitely the best massages we ever had. It really is a paradise. The service was excellent and the food was great too.

We made so many new friends as well. I want to thank you also for your kind assistance from day 1 you have been really helpful and also went out of your way to make sure we get the best and made us feel reassured to leave all our honeymoon arrangements in your hands.

We will definitely be visiting Cannonier again soon. The lady from mautourco was very friendly and arranged all our activities for the week. (I think her name was Michelle if I’m not mistaken). We will surely make use of your services in future. Thanks so much for everything.

Chris and I would like to thank you so very much for all your assistance in planning our amazing holiday to Victoria Beachcomber Mauritius.
It was such a wonderful relaxing vacation, the resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the All – Inclusive package is definitely the way to go. We got very good value for money. We spent our days lazing in the sun right on the beach, sipping on delish cocktails and yummy food.

The staff were very friendly and took time to chat during breakfast/lunch & dinner to get to know the guests on a personal level which was really nice to see. The resort offered lots to do in terms of activities and evening entertainment.

Overall we had an absolutely awesome holiday and would definitely go back again 🙂

I cannot thank you enough for your amazing planning, answering all our questions, providing guidance with budget, location, hotels, pictures and your willingness to assist no matter the time of day.

I still remember the first conversation we had sometime late last year, you helped us choose the perfect location based on our requirements, you took time to understand our needs and it certainly paid off. A heartfelt thank you for your guidance and dedication to making this a truly memorable honeymoon!

Beachcomber Victoria – we looked tirelessly at resorts that would be the perfect honeymoon getaway, with constant guidance from Desire about the in’s and out’s of each location. Ashira and I are so glad that we chose this resort. Aspects that stood out for us were the beautiful beaches, warm climate, delicious food, and the friendly staff. The room itself was luxurious (especially after a day of touring), and exceeded our expectations.

Personalized attention from a particular barman stands out, Rai, who consistently welcomed us and provided us with delicious cocktails to suit our palette. Jessen, a friendly waiter, usually served us with a smile and took time to talk to us and share some local knowledge.

Maurotourco helped us plan 2 exciting and enjoyable tours of Mauritius:

1. the Wild Colours tour, was beautiful and all that Mauritius promised to be with some stunning surprises, the South East is breathtaking and our eyes and cameras took in all that we could – waterfalls, 7 coloured earth, the Shiva temple and much more.
2. The speed boat tour of Ile le Cerf and Blue Bay was a truly magical and thrilling experience, from breathtaking views of IIe le Cerf and waterfalls, to snorkelling in Blue Bay and offcourse the delicious barbecue with the biggest prawns I’ve eaten, it was our favourite day of the honeymoon!

We explored the markets in Grand Baie and even discovered a Durban Bunny Chow restaurant which we had to try out, a little taste of home.

There are many fond memories to share, and I think we could go on for a bit, we would like to once again say Thank You! It was a wonderful holiday, everything we had been looking forward to and more.

Dear Desire

Firstly I would like to thank you for your fantastic service and assistance. I do not think that I would have wanted to work with any other travel planner! You have been excellent from the start up until the end of the holiday!

Although the honeymoon took a different turn than what was expected we still had lots of fun before Irene became sick. It was just an unfortunate thing which happens to the best of us! I think it was also a good learning experience for us all – we tend to think that things do not go wrong! But they do sometimes and the important thing is to be prepared!

I will provide some notes for you on the following:

1. Victoria Hotel:

• It was really an amazing experience to stay at this hotel.
• The snorkelling, the kayaking, the paddle boats were really fun to do and kept us busy.
• The rest of the time just relaxing on the beach was sufficient to satisfy our souls!
• I did the paragliding which was short but extremely cool!
• I think from all the hotels in that area we had the best beach – enough trees and white sand!
• We received excellent service and the staff were very friendly at all times.
• We really liked our honeymoon presents. I love my shirt!
• The accommodation/room was very very nice and comfortable – the hotel was kind enough to place us in a room on the ground floor which was super kind of them and for which I am very grateful.
• I could notice that the staff and management went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
• When Irene became sick they were very supportive and provided me with very good assistance.
• I realised that if you do not take the all inclusive package that the drinks become very very expensive and that was a little bit disappointing to me. But I still feel that we would not have been able to drink that amount of drinks to make up for the price difference between the all inclusive and the half board.
• We ended up walking to the shop nearby and buying bottles of water at a quarter of the price of what it cost at the hotel!
• The only thing that I missed was good quality fresh meat and vegetables. (I think we as South Africans are very spoiled with adequate fresh meat and vegetables).

2. Your service

• As stated your service was really excellent and I would give you a score of 10/10!
• From the word go up to the end you have been available and assisted me with such kindness whenever I needed it.
• You made it really easy to make the necessary arrangements and payments etc. and that made a huge difference.
• (My time is usually very limited and you made it possible to make the whole thing very efficient!)
• Thanks a million for your kind assistance.

3. Zurich Travel Insurance

• I received excellent excellent excellent service from them.
• Very efficient and effective communication.
• Thank you for suggesting them!
• And thank you for arranging them last minute!

4. Clinique Du Nord

• Irene was admitted to this Clinic when she became very sick.
• The service and medical care were excellent.
• Compared to the best hospital in SA I would rate their service higher!
• Definitely 10/10
• I have never met any friendlier and supportive staff in my whole life.
• Medical care was also excellent.
• They really made us feel at home!

5. Mauritius overall

• Although we did not see a lot of Mauritius the parts that we did see was very nice.
• We went on the South tour which was okay.
• People in Mauritius are very friendly.
• When Irene was in the hospital I had to take a taxi on two occasions and felt that the taxi drivers take advantage of tourists by charging extremely high rates which were a bit disappointing.

Irene is recovering well and will have a follow-up clinical examination on Thursday. She still has to recover a bit more!

Desire you are definitely our first choice for a travel planner for life!

We are good thanks. We really had a nice time at the Le Canonnier. Everything was perfect with no hiccups and really enjoyed our stay there. We had a good rest and enjoyed Mauritius totally.

We were just very sad to come back on Saturday.

All the activities were good. We did all water and land sports. We also did the couple massage at the spa located in the tree. It was really nice.

Looking forward to another holiday soon.

We will definitely be seeing you again as everything went smooth and there were no issues at all.

Picture perfect water and environment. Stunning surroundings and fantastic stay. We enjoyed our time there tremendously and definitely made the most of it all. Spent a lot time in their designated swimming zones in front of their main pool. Great restaurants and plenty to choose from.

Check in to the hotel? Oh what a breeze that was. No complaints there whatsoever. Easy, fast, fun and very warm welcoming.

Sea facing Room are simple and cozy. Just perfect for your night stays as the intention definitely is not to be in them during the day. We were very pleased to have received a bottle of champagne and personalized note from the hotel congratulating us on our wedding and to thank us for choosing them for our honeymoon destination.

Breakfast was always a winner. Your basic staples there but super tasty and enough to kick the day off.
A definite restaurant to eat at is the “Teak Elephant” was our favorite by far, we even had ourselves a double reservation.

We snorkled everyday via the hotels snorkel activities and it was definitely not a let down. Was so much fun. Glass bottom boat tour was a real highlight for us as well. Loads of water activities to do, however I was SUPER disappointed when I was told that they no longer do lasers sail boats.

All in all, it was a great experience. Definitely a once in a lifetime type of experience for sure.
