The refurb of this popular beach resort has certainly made Canonnier a firm favourite for repeat Beachcomber guests! I am in awe of the spa built in the branches of the banyan tree where you will experience total relaxation and the views from the Navigator bar never cease to amaze me!
Furnished with warm tones, wood hues the colour of sunset, rustic thatch roofs and lush vegetation surrounding you wherever you are on the gorgeous grounds of this spectacular resort, Canonnier is its own category of paradise.
This resort is on a prime Grand Bay property, perched on a peninsula with two beaches, each offering a different view. Woven into the legacy of the resort is a little piece of Mauritius’ rich cultural history, blending old and new in innovative, creative ways: A new and unique safari-inspired kids club offers youngsters aged 3 – 11 years a world of fun and entertainment. Kids can broaden their horizons with activities in a generous playground and in a tented village. Teens/Kids Club at Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
Magical would accurately describe Cannonier’s kid’s club, which is possibly the most appealing in Mauritius. As a popular family resort in Mauritius, Canonnier Beachcomber has spared no effort to make sure kids have the time of their lives at the kids club.
In keeping with its approach towards sustainable development, the resort has chosen to use the relic of an eighteenth-century lighthouse and turn it into a venue reserved for children aged 3 to 12. A few steps away is an ancient thatch-roofed powder magazine that children also put to good use when they play hide-and-seek.
The kids club cosy interior consists of two spacious rooms with parquet flooring and furnished to suit two different age groups. Storm lights and an ancient wooden trunk help infuse the venue with an aura of adventure and secrecy.
The kids club also opens onto a small garden equipped with swings and a wooden climbing frame. The supervised program includes many indoor and outdoor activities, complemented by a range of toys and games available within the facility.

Have you ever climbed a tree to find a relaxing massage? At Canonnier Beachcomber the spa has been built into a centuries-old banyan tree. Rustic stone steps lead you up among the branches to the wooden treatment cabins which look out onto a pool built of granite rocks. The water reflects the branches above you creating a feeling of being alone in the forest. Experienced therapists use treatment methods gained from ancient Indian cultures and their healing hands lull you into a feeling of peace with the world. The treatment cabins open onto a sunny deck for relaxing afterwards.

We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in Mauritius and did not want to leave. Cannonier Hotel is stunning and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Although we never received the bride and groom Tshirt and sarong we only arrived at 10 pm the night so its ok.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful if we had requested. Very glad you suggested Cannonier it’s really beautiful.
The pool is also stunning and the view from our room was like something out of a movie. Their spa is amazing definitely the best massages we ever had. It really is a paradise. The service was excellent and the food was great too.
We made so many new friends as well. I want to thank you also for your kind assistance from day 1 you have been really helpful and also went out of your way to make sure we get the best and made us feel reassured to leave all our honeymoon arrangements in your hands.
We will definitely be visiting Cannonier again soon. The lady from mautourco was very friendly and arranged all our activities for the week. (I think her name was Michelle if I’m not mistaken). We will surely make use of your services in future. Thanks so much for everything.

We are good thanks. We really had a nice time at the Le Canonnier. Everything was perfect with no hiccups and really enjoyed our stay there. We had a good rest and enjoyed Mauritius totally.
We were just very sad to come back on Saturday.
All the activities were good. We did all water and land sports. We also did the couple massage at the spa located in the tree. It was really nice.
Looking forward to another holiday soon.
We will definitely be seeing you again as everything went smooth and there were no issues at all.
